Ex-Lazio captain Stefano Mauri will not face trial over new revelations in the Calcioscommesse scandal.

The attacking midfielder was given a six-month ban in 2013 for failing to report a potential fix to authorities in the Genoa-Lecce game in May 2011.

New allegations surfaced last year that Mauri had helped to fix a match between Lecce and Lazio  in 2011, a 4-2 win for the Aquile in which Mauri played.

However, FIGC Prosecutor Stefano Palazzi has decided there is not enough evidence to warrant a trial, so Mauri and Lazio have both been cleared of the allegations, according to ANSA.

Italian international Mauri left Lazio at the end of last season when his contract expired, and is currently without a club.
