A decision on Stefano Mauri’s appeal against his nine month ban as part of the Calcioscommesse scandal has been delayed.

Today the player’s legal representatives attended a third hearing at the TNAS appeal court where they made the case for the Lazio player’s appeal.

This was against a nine-month ban, handed to the player for two counts of allegedly failing to report attempted fixes in Lazio’s May 2011 games with Genoa and Lecce.

At the hearing’s conclusion this afternoon, CONI have released a statement saying that the panel will reserve making their decision at the moment.

The Italian Football Federation’s legal representative Luigi Medugno commented that details of the appeal will be released in the coming 48 hours.

It is possible that a final decision may be delayed until closer to February 19’s deadline on the matter.
