It is reported that Juventus are closing in on the signing of Paris Saint-Germain’s Blaise Matuidi.

The French international has long been touted as a possible replacement for Paul Pogba in the Bianconeri midfield, with France Football claiming PSG have set an asking price of €35m for his signature.

Matuidi’s chances of joining the Old Lady are further boosted by the fact that super-agent Mino Raiola, set to secure Juve around €110m for the sale of Pogba, also handles the 29-year-old’s affairs. Raiola has allegedly told the player that he could be heading to Turin ‘within a few days.’

According to Calciomercato.it, Matuidi is the preferred central midfield choice of Coach Max Allegri, ahead of Axel Witsel and Moussa Sissoko.
