Sky Sport Italia reports Manchester United midfielder Nemanja Matic will undergo his medical with Roma tomorrow.
The Serbia international will join José Mourinho’s side on a free transfer from the Red Devils. The coach and the midfielder will reunite for the third time after spells with Chelsea and at Old Trafford.
Sky Sport Italia reports that the 33-year-old will arrive in the capital tomorrow to undergo his medical with the Giallorossi and sign a one-year contract.
The deal comes with an option to extend his contract at the club for one more season. Matic will reportedly get €3.5m at the Stadio Olimpico.
Roma had planned to have Matic’s medical at the beginning of July, but the club has reportedly changed their stance, anticipating the midfielder’s arrival in the capital.
Matic has played 159 games under Mourinho, more than with any other coach. He will replace Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who is set to join Inter as a free agent.
