Former Inter defender Marco Materazzi has sent yet another dig in the direction of his former teammate Zlatan Ibrahimovic on the 14th anniversary of the swap deal that brought Samuel Eto’o to San Siro and sent the Swede to Barcelona.

Materazzi and Ibrahimovic have been involved in an online back-and-forth since Ibrahimovic gave an unfavourable interview to La Gazzetta dello Sport a few years back.

Since then, Ibrahimovic has posted a few different jokes at Ibrahimovic’s expense, often poking fun at the fact that he never won the Champions League or the World Cup.

On Saturday, the Lega Serie A shared a commemorative post pointing out that it has been 14 years to the day that Eto’o swapped Barcelona for Inter.

In turn, Materazzi shared the post to his own story, along with the caption: “But what does the other guy know?” along with a few laughing emojis, in clear reference to Milan advisor Ibrahimovic.

  1. I SO MUCH LOVE THE WAY MATERAZZI DEALTH WITH IBRAHIMOVIC! THE GUY FORCED HIS WAY TO BARCELONA BELIEVING HE’LL WIN CL WITH MESSI BUT WAS DISAPPOINTED WITH INTER BEATING THEM IN THE SEMIS!

  2. I wonder why eto was never given the recognition he deserves. I hope Ibrahimovic understands how bitter it sounds like but it’s the truth

  3. Eto is always determined regardless the situation that he finds himself.
THAT IS WHAT MAKES HIM THE KING OF THE FOREST
