Former Inter defender Marco Materazzi took to Instagram to vent his anger with Adrien Rabiot’s possible handball in Juventus’ 1-0 Derby d’Italia win.

Tensions flared after just 23 minutes in San Siro, when Filip Kostic gave the Bianconeri the lead with a well-placed shot, with many believing that Rabiot had handled the ball during the build-up play.

A lengthy VAR check followed and the decision came that the goal would stand, a move that infuriated Inter supporters and produced even more tension in an already fiery clash.

Materazzi was equally enraged by the call and quickly took to Instagram to vent his anger, posting a photo of the incident on his story alongside the caption: “And then, they ask why! Did you have the visuals covered?”

The incident has become one of the main talking points of the Derby d’Italia, along with the various criticisms levied against Inter for failing to take advantage of their possessional dominance.

Juventus now sit just seven points outside the top four spots with 11 games left to play.
