“I expected Eriksen to be on the bench, as to be fair, he has just arrived and Alexis Sanchez is a good player,” Matrix told Inter TV.

“This is a very big opportunity for Inter, so this will not be a game like any other. It’s played in a fantastic stadium, with an atmosphere that gives you goosebumps.

“We must forget the derby played earlier this season, because objectively we were up against a much weaker side then. Now they have Zlatan Ibrahimovic and we know recent form is wiped out in a derby. The only advantage is that we’re playing with the majority of the home crowd.

“There is far more at stake for Inter than Milan, because they can aspire to the European places, whereas we’re up for the Scudetto.

“I’d give anything to wind back 20 years and get to play this derby.”
