More details are starting to emerge on why ex-Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot has still not found a new club, requesting €10m per season plus a €15m signing-on bonus.

The player had been in this situation before, with his contract running down in Turin last summer only to sign a new one-year deal.

This time around, Juve offered a two-year extension with the same salary of €7.5m per season, but he turned it down.

Milan had reportedly proposed €5.5m per season plus bonuses, yet that too was snubbed for not being sufficiently lucrative.

Rabiot asking for huge financial package

Galatasaray, Manchester United, Newcastle United and Al-Nassr have all been linked, but the problem remains the same, his salary demands are considered outlandish.

According to Calciomercato.com, Rabiot is insisting on €10m per season wages plus a €15m signing-on bonus, not to mention the commission for his agent and mother Veronique.

Even France coach Didier Deschamps expressed frustration at the ‘embarrassing’ situation in a press conference this week, noting he cannot call the player up until he has a club.
