Milan are said to be looking for a new goalkeeper, as Mike Maignan has requested a massive €8m per season salary to extend his contract.

There have been growing reports that the Rossoneri are already preparing for life beyond the France international, looking towards Michele Di Gregorio of Monza.

Tuttomercatoweb suggest this is because the talks to extend his contract have hit a brick wall with a huge difference between the proposal and his demands.

Maignan currently earns €2.8m per season and the offer from Milan is to almost double that to a €5m salary.

However, it is reported his agents are demanding €8m per season, which would make him one of the highest earners at the club.

Considering his injury record, the fact he turns 29 in July and would be sold for a massive profit after his arrival for €15.4m from Lille in 2021, it all points towards the exit.

Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain are known to be tracking Maignan, whose price-tag is €40-50m.

His current contract runs to June 2026.
