Adam Marusic warns Lazio have ‘only one option today, and that is to win’ against Cagliari at the Stadio Olimpico.
It kicks off at 17.00 UK time (16.00 GMT).
The Biancocelesti had started strong this season, but have now lost back-to-back fixtures against Milan in Serie A and Galatasaray in the Europa League.
“After two defeats, we have only one option today, and that is to win in front of our fans,” Marusic told Lazio Style Radio.
This is a tricky tie, because Cagliari are making their debut under new coach Walter Mazzarri after sacking Leonardo Semplici.
“Cagliari changed their coach, but we know what we need to do and that is to win. We haven’t had much time to prepare, but we’re ready.”
Coach Maurizio Sarri is in the stands for Lazio, sitting out the first in a two-match ban, so assistant manager Giovanni Martusciello is on the bench.
