The 20-year-old is lighting up Argentine football and the Copa Libertadores, earning a massive offer from Borussia Dortmund this week, but the Nerazzurri have already agreed terms.
“Borussia Dortmund had their chance and we spoke to them, but they wanted to continue waiting,” agent Carlos Yarque told El Intransigente.

“In these situations time is of the essence and there were many other clubs who wanted to take him away. Inter arrived with great enthusiasm and they got him.
“He decided not to go to Real Madrid, because he first wanted to debut for Racing and then the Spaniards said he wasn’t ready.
“All we as agents do is pass on the details of what the proposals are and then our client makes the decision. At the end of the day, Inter seduced him with their sporting project. The Italian club has put €25m into Martinez’s move.”
