“We are honoured and so proud to hear someone like Zanetti publicly lauding Lucas, but I am not surprised by his words,” agent Gustavo Goñi told FCInterNews.it.
“Zanetti had already showed appreciation for the player in other occasions. We too are convinced he is one of the best centre-backs in all of South America.
“He’s a regular for an institution like River Plate, but I am convinced he has everything it takes to make his mark in Europe and play for any top club, including Inter.
“Obviously, we’d have to wait for someone to make an offer. There are many clubs who are interested, as they can see he is a great player. It wouldn’t be fair for me to comment now, while they are just rumours.”
It’s reported Martinez Quarta has a €22m release clause in his contract.
