Inter target Roger Martinez admits “I’d like to go to Italy”, and he could arrive on loan from Jiangsu Suning this month.

The Nerazzurri can’t spend big this month, as they have to meet Financial Fair Play targets by the end of June.

It has therefore been suggested that owners Suning Group could simply loan a player from their Chinese club to the Beneamata, with Martinez seen as a potential option.

“I’d like to go to Italy,” Martinez explained to El Espectador in his native Colombia.

“I’d like to go to Italy,” Martinez explained to El Espectador in his native Colombia.

“It’s an important league and I’ve always dreamed of playing for a European team. I’m excited.

“The important thing is to be in the sights of Jose Pekerman, his coaching staff is always watching me, and that’s important.

“Now I have the chance to play in a more competitive league. I think I can go to the World Cup, and that’s my goal.”

Martinez’s words appear to indicate that a deal is likely for him to move to Serie A this month, and Espectador believes a six month loan at Inter is virtually a done deal.
