Sky Sport Italia suggest the player is already flying out to the United States of America this evening for a medical.
It will be initially a loan with obligation to buy in June for around $5m (€4.7m).
The 23-year-old has two goals in 13 competitive games for Torino this season.
He arrived from Swiss side Young Boys in July 2014 for €3m.
