Tottenham are planning out a move for Juventus talent Samuel Iling-Junior and now have to contend with competition from Olympique Marseille, reports detail.

The 20-year-old Englishman joined the Old Lady from Chelsea’s youth system in September 2020 and made his first team debut two years later, providing an assist in his second outing. He has received a handful more chances since then, directly contributing to four goals across 22 games.

Last month, reports released detailing the interest of Tottenham, who sent scouts to watch him during an England Under-21 clash with Northern Ireland. The club are gearing up to make a move in January, keen to add the 20-year-old to Ange Postecoglou’s squad.

As reported by Francesco Guerrieri of Calciomercato.com, Olympique Marseille have emerged to compete with Tottenham for Iling-Junior and have started seriously studying a possible deal with Juventus.

The Old Lady have set a €20m price on the 20-year-old, a fee considered a little excessive by the Ligue 1 outfit, and they’re willing to negotiate a deal in the January transfer window.

Iling-Junior has struggled for consistent minutes under Massimiliano Allegri this season, seeing just 112 minutes of action across four appearances, two of which came back in August.
