Olympique Marseille and Sevilla are interested in a swoop for free agent Nikola Maksimovic, who is considering a new contract at Napoli.
The 29-year-old Serbia international saw his contract with the Partenopei expire on June 30, but has so far not found a new club.
It had been reported over the last few days that he was leaning towards signing another deal with Napoli and extending the stay that began in 2016.
However, there is now another alternative, as RMC Sport and Sky Sport Italia maintain Olympique Marseille are proposing their own contract for the defender.
Sevilla are also keeping a close eye on the situation, while Marseille must sell before they can invest in new arrivals.
Roma have been linked with a possible free transfer for Maksimovic as well.
