Beppe Marotta has been named the new Inter president, so here are the best reactions from social media with most Nerazzurri fans looking enthusiastic about Oaktree’s decision.
Marotta has been named the new Inter President by owners Oaktree.
The American fund took control of the club only a few weeks ago after Steven Zhang failed to repay a nearly €400m debt, including interests.
There have been plenty of reactions on social media, and most fans seem happy about the owners’ decision.
It’s not surprising given that Marotta led Inter to win five trophies, including two Serie A titles, during his tenure as the club’s CEO.
Zhang appointed Marotta in 2018 and the 67-year-old has been practically running the club, especially in the post-COVID era, when Suning’s financial struggles began.
Oaktree have also named a new board of directors.
Below are all the best reactions from fans and pundits on X, formerly Twitter, as the Marotta era begins today.

The appointment of Marotta as Inter president whilst continuing as CEO for Sport, ie in an operative role, provides club with exactly the kind of stability Inter need to continue down the path set out in summer of 2021 after the Conte project imploded financially.
