“These are the usual sensations in this stadium against this great team. Obviously, it feels different to two years ago, but we’ll fight to the death,” Marotta told Mediaset Premium.

“Football, and above all a knockout tournament like the Champions League, are unpredictable. It means you can have one great night and deservedly qualify for the next round, as Roma showed last night.

“We’ll give our all to turn the situation around, even if some called that prospect a miracle. Well, sometimes miracles do happen.

“We believe, that is the thought in the club, the squad and the Coach. I think the first leg was certainly not a fair reflection of the performances, as we did not deserve to lose by three goals.

“Turnarounds have happened, so it’s Juve’s duty to go out there and try. If we don’t manage it, then we can ask ourselves what happened, but our thoughts right now are to do it.”

Marotta was asked about next season and the potential end of an era for the Bianconeri.

“I have already said that a revolution is an inaccurate view of the situation, as I prefer a natural evolution of a squad. There will be new arrives, some interesting young talents and on the other hand very experienced figures, because Juve have this in their DNA and must maintain it.”
