In that time though they have been unable to triumph in Europe, losing in the Champions League final in both 2015 and 2017.

This summer Cristiano Ronaldo was signed in a €100m deal from Real Madrid, which was taken by most as an indication the Old Lady is going all-out for the big-eared trophy.
“We dream of winning the Champions League, and sometimes in life dreams come true,” Marotta said in an interview with Sky.
“The final will be at Atletico Madrid’s stadium and it’d be nice to play the final there.
“The next games will be important, we’re used to a tour de force but we’ve constructed a squad to be able to manage things better.”
