Mario Rui will miss Napoli’s Serie A match against Torino on Sunday with a muscle injury but has nonetheless been called up by Portugal.

Mario Rui was taken off just 33 minutes into Napoli’s 0-0 draw with Racing Genk last night.

Tests the following morning showed the left-back had suffered a thigh strain in his left leg.

The Partenopei added he would be reassessed in a week’s time, ruling him out of the trip to Torino.

However, he was selected by Portugal for their upcoming Euro 2020 qualifiers with Luxembourg and Ukraine.
