Atalanta director general Umberto Marino warns it’ll become increasingly difficult to keep up their recent record, as they are ‘no longer a surprise’ for the likes of Inter.
The game kicks off at 17.00 UK time (16.00 GMT).
This has been called an early Scudetto showdown at San Siro, between last season’s title winners and the side that has finished in the top four for three years running.
“You can evaluate the team, our first target must always be 40 points and Serie A safety,” Marino told DAZN.
“We had some great seasons, we are growing and try to do our best taking it one game at a time. It’s also worth noting that the opposition prepare for us in a different way, they are more fired up and we are no longer a surprise.
“We must continue playing with the pride of a provincial club and keep our feet on the ground.”
