The Orobici host Delio Rossi's side on Saturday, and the 23-year-old, who played for the Bluerchiati between 2008 and 2011, has claimed that he is looking forward to the match – despite missing it through injury.
“I had a memorable time at Sampdoria,” he told Corriere Mercantile. “I grew up there and I owe them so much.
“It is good in Bergamo, but the atmosphere in Genoa was fantastic.”
