Parma managing director Pietro Leonardi has revealed that he tied up the deal to sign Macdonald Mariga 'in five minutes'.

The Kenyan international joined the Crociati on-loan from Inter on the last day of the January transfer window.

And the 49-year-old insisted that the midfielder will be a success at Ennio Tardini.

“In Parma we all know the qualities that Mariga has,” he told a Press conference.

“I did this deal with Inter in about five minutes, because we all wanted him to join.

“The fans have to have patience with him though. The boy has only just got back from a long-term injury.”
