The Scudetto showdown between Milan and Napoli will be officiated by Maurizio Mariani, while RomaAtalanta goes to Daniele Chiffi and Monza-Juventus handed to Fabio Maresca.

The Lega Serie A is under pressure after several controversial decisions in last week’s games, above all the incorrectly disallowed Arkadiusz Milik winner in Juventus 2-2 Salernitana and at least one clear penalty not awarded in Lecce 1-1 Monza.

There are two big fixtures this weekend, above all the head-to-head between Milan and Napoli at San Siro, which has been assigned to Mariani.

His VAR for the occasion will be Massimiliano Irrati.

Mariani’s record with Milan is of eight wins, three draws and four defeats, while Napoli had 10 victories, one stalemate and five losses.

Roma-Atalanta is another big game for the top spots, given to Chiffi and VAR Aleandro Di Paolo.

As for Monza and Juventus, who both were involved in contentious games, they’re assigned Maresca and VAR Michael Fabbri.

The officials who were involved in the Milik howler are not suspended for this round.

Instead, referee Matteo Marcenaro will be the fourth official in FiorentinaVerona, while Luca Banti is the VAR in the Serie B tie between Cagliari and Bari.
