Former Juventus midfielder Claudio Marchisio has denied he will stand for elections as Mayor of Turin.
The 35-year-old retired from football in 2019 and several reports in Italy had claimed he was ready to run for Mayor of Turin, the city where he was born and raised.
“I think it’s incredible I have to comment on these absurdities. Politics is a serious thing. So, please be serious.”

The former Italy international scored 37 goals in 389 games with the Old Lady and won 15 trophies with the Bianconeri during his career.
