Juventus midfielder Claudio Marchisio says the club are ‘turning the page’ this season and that Milan have closed the gap on the Bianconeri the most.
The Italy international also talked about the possibility of him taking over from the departed Andrea Pirlo in the ‘regista’ role, a possibility which he appears comfortable with.
"What changes with me in Pirlo’s position? Little, I already played there last year and I started to play there with [Antonio] Conte as well,” he said to Tuttosport.

“Pirlo is a completely different player to me, he’s a great champion and we all know what he’s given Juventus and Italian football, but now a new era has begun for us.
“Great players have left and others arrived, we’re turning the page while reminding ourselves that we have to defend the Scudetto and do well in the Champions League.
“Juventus are very strong, only the league campaign will say whether we are the strongest.
“We are the champions of Italy and we have to prove to be a great team. They make us favourites but it's hard to repeat after four consecutive titles, to continue we need motivation.
"Which team is closing on us the most? I can’t give a name, but if I have to choose I’d say Milan, above all because of their history."
