Juventus midfielder Claudio Marchisio could reportedly make his return from injury against Bologna on Sunday.

The Italy international was originally expected to be back after the international break, but Tuttosport report today that he has made great improvements recently.

The Turin-based newspaper believes that the next two days will be decisive, as the intensity of the 29-year-old’s sessions will increase and it will become clearer whether or not he will be fit to face the Rossoblu.

However, the Bianconeri medical staff will not want to rush a recovery and therefore could choose to delay a comeback until after the break as initially planned to avoid risking further injury.

Juventus will need Marchisio in his best shape following the break, as they travel to San Siro for the Derby d’Italia against Inter on 18 October.
