Former Real Madrid star Marcelo was among those congratulating Milan star Theo Hernandez after France reached the World Cup Final: ‘You are so good, my son.’
The France international opened the account in a 2-0 win over Morocco on Wednesday, helping his national team reach the World Cup Final for the second time in a row.
On Sunday, Theo will play his first World Cup Final as he was not part of the France squad in Russia four years ago.
Several of his Milan teammates, including Davide Calabria, Rafael Leao and Ismael Bennacer, congratulated him on social media after last night’s win over Morocco, but words of praise also came from Marcelo, a former Real Madrid defender who played with Theo at the Bernabeu before his €20m to Milan in 2019.
“You are so good, my son,” said Marcelo, commenting on Theo’s latest Instagram post.
The France defender spoke to Gazzetta after last night’s match, saying that Argentina are ‘an incredible team’ although Les Blues do not fear Leo Messi.
