Villarreal Coach Marcelino García Toral admits Napoli are “a great side” but “we’ll play at our best to go through”.

The Partenopei travel to Spain to for the Last 32 of the Europa League tomorrow night, and the Coach of El Submarino Amarillo expects a tough test.

“They’re a great side,” Marcelino told reporters in his pre-match Press conference.

“They’ve been at the top in Italy for years, and they’ve done well in Europe. Last year they got to the semi-finals, so they’re a team to be respected.

“They’re playing well, they haven’t lost many games and they’re one of the stronger opponents we could have faced.

“But we’ll play at our best to go through.”

Maurizio Sarri’s side were defeated by Juventus on Saturday, but Marcelino doesn’t think that will dent their morale.

“No, they’re competitive and there will be no repercussions. They know they were playing at Juventus, and they know they didn’t deserve to lose, as everyone does who saw the game.

“I expect the Madrigal to get right behind us, the players deserve that for what they’re doing.

“This is a game which definitely could have come up later, it’s even superior to some of the ties we’re seeing in the Champions League.”
