Genoa coach Rolando Maran has claimed the transfer market will ‘tell us which path to take’ but said he has several ‘solutions’ tactically for the Rossoblu.
Maran has reassured fans that the new sporting director Daniele Faggiano is working hard to give him ‘good players’ but stressed he was ‘flexible’ to work with the squad he has available.
“Faggiano is a guarantee and has already been at work for a long time,” he said at a press conference. “He’s quickly working to build the team.

“The ideas are there, but the market can change them because we need good players.
“I’m flexible to help the elements we have in the squad. We will work on a couple of systems to be able to change and be ready in every game.
“The fact that there will be five substitutions, we will have to be ready to change skin even in the game. I will work on a couple of things to be ready for everyone and the market will tell us which path to take.
“Two solutions could be to change the defence from three to four. But the solutions are infinite. We will see what we can get and where we can go. We will certainly try to improve it.”
