Chievo Coach Rolando Maran credited the old guard of Stefano Sorrentino and Sergio Pellissier with the 2-1 victory over SPAL.
The Flying Donkeys had gone behind and were dominated in the first half, kept in the game by goalkeeper Sorrentino, but turned it around with a Roberto Inglese brace.
“We must focus on safety above all else, even if we are doing very well with 20 points from 14 rounds. We have to continue our path and not get distracted,” Maran told Sky Sport Italia.

“Without taking anything away from the other players, Sorrentino and Pellissier were crucial today. Stefano kept us in the game with his saves, while Sergio helped us to express ourselves to the fullest in the final stages,
“After four draws and this victory, we’ve got Inter up next. However, before that there is the Coppa Italia match with Verona.”
Inglese bagged a brace today, but he is owned by Napoli and they might recall him in January.
“I don’t know what will happen. Inglese works very well and I am not surprised he’s doing so well on the field.”
