Genoa played their last competitive game three weeks ago. A 6-0 away defeat to Napoli that came before the club registered 20 cases of Covid that added to the two they had already had.
“We know the caution we put into everything we do. We live the Covid problem with great attention.
“I am sorry we were the only ones in the spotlight. We are trying to live this moment with great sacrifice. When there is inactivity, games tend to be more difficult. We just have to cancel the second half with Napoli.
“Today we proved how much we care. The second half of Napoli weighed heavily on us. Today there was supremacy of Verona, but we tried to win the game.”
