The Gialloblu took the lead through Alessandro Gamberini, but were pegged back three minutes later by Stefan De Vrij. The game ended in a 1-1 draw.
“The result leaves us with a bitter taste in the mouth,” Maran explained to reporters. “We created four or five scoring chances and we only managed to convert one.
“Lazio, however, took advantage of their only chance of note.
“The heat affected both teams a lot.”
