“It was a great performance and we almost took all three points,” Maran told Rai Sport.
“In the second half we improved as a unit despite having to make three changes due to injuries. The lads were splendid and it’s a great compliment that people say we deserved more.
“Surviving in Serie A again represents a semi-miracle, because it was not an easy situation when I arrived. The great thing is that we want to keep on surprising everyone.”
Maran has been linked with the Udinese job for next season.
“Right now I am focused on ending the campaign well, then I have to talk to the directors.”
