“We really want to get started and know this is a campaign where we have to give the fans something to cheer about,” said the Coach in his Press conference.

“Players have arrived who increased the quality level, but we had good foundations already in place. We feel the pressure to live up to those expectations, but must concentrate on the first two games.”

Marko Rog is suspended for this match with Brescia, but Radja Nainggolan and Nahitan Nandez should start in midfield.

“I like to keep my options open, but it is probable that Radja will remain in front of the defence. Nandez only arrived recently and could do with a few more training sessions, but it’s an opportunity for him and he could be in the starting XI. Pinna will also probably play.

“Brescia are a newly-promoted side and there are inevitably hidden dangers that come with that. Their system is similar to ours and they will be very determined. We must get off to the right start, keep the fan enthusiasm going with three points and a good performance.”
