Napoli legend Diego Armando Maradona is resting after successful surgery to resolve complications from a herniated gastric band.
The Argentina hero had been rushed to hospital last week with internal bleeding, which it turned out was down to two previous gastric band operations.
He had the weight loss procedure in 2005 and again in 2015 when his size ballooned out of control.
A statement from the Clinica Olivos in Buenos Aires confirmed the surgery to fix the rupture was successful and lasted around an hour.

“Now we hope Diego can recover and return to work as quickly as possible,” said his lawyer Matias Morla.
Maradona is the Coach of Mexican club side Dorados de Sinaloa.
