Diego Armando Maradona celebrated his birthday by claiming his Napoli would crush the current Juventus and calling Gonzalo Higuain a “traitor.”
El Pibe de Oro turns 56 today and recorded a video message on his official website, having just watched last night’s Juventus 2-1 Napoli clash.
“It is my 56th birthday, but I am sad because we lost to Juventus,” said Maradona.
“Against this Juve, my Napoli would’ve certainly scored four goals. If you don’t know that already, ask your fathers. This Juve is not as strong as the one I used to play against.”
Former Partenopei striker Higuain netted the winner and refused to celebrate against his former teammates.
“I am not a traitor. I don’t care what Higuain did, he can continue along his way, I really don’t care. I am relaxed because I have never betrayed the Napoli jersey. My heart is Neapolitan.”
