On from earlier reports that he was already in the capital to complete formalities, Manolas has been pictured arriving and then an hour later leaving medical facilities at Gemelli, in Rome.

Understood to have now completed medical tests here, the player is expected to arrive at Roma’s training facilities at Trigoria this afternoon to put pen to paper on what is believed to be a five-year contract.

Manolas’ arrival is seen as in time for him to be registered to feature against Fiorentina at the weekend, whilst it almost certainly confirms Mehdi Benatia’s exit, as talks with Bayern Munich reportedly have seen an agreement reached.
