With Federico Fernandez to Swansea City, Olympiacos star Kostas Manolas and Liverpool’s Daniel Agger are Napoli targets.
It’s widely reported in Italy that Argentina international centre-back Fernandez will complete a transfer to Swansea next week for €10m (£8m).
This leaves the Partenopei looking for a replacement, preferably in time for the Champions League play-off against Athletic Bilbao.
At first Liverpool veteran Agger had been the hot favourite, as he’d be reunited with Rafa Benitez and could even be sent out on loan.
However, Sky Sport Italia now claim the real target is Greek international Manolas, who impressed at the World Cup in Brazil.
It won’t be an easy task, as Manolas is also of interest to Juventus, Roma and most recently Manchester United.
Still only 23, his contract with Olympiacos runs until June 2016 and the asking price is €15m.
