Roma defender Kostas Manolas has revealed he could have been plying his trade for Scudetto rivals Juventus” data-scaytid=”4″>Juventus.
Roma signed the 23-year-old in a €15m move from Olympiacos this summer, but Manolas admits there was interest from the Bianconeri.
“It’s true, Juventus sought me out after the World Cup,” Manolas told il Tempo.

Roma signed the 23-year-old in a €15m move from Olympiacos this summer, but Manolas admits there was interest from the Bianconeri.
“It’s true, Juventus sought me out after the World Cup,” Manolas told il Tempo.
“I also could have ended up at Arsenal, although I never went to London as was reported.
“Now for me there’s only Roma, and I’m very happy to have come here.”
Manolas was dismissed in a fiery clash with Juventus earlier in the season after reacting to a challenge from Alvaro Morata.
Roma lost the match 3-2, and controversy rumbled for days afterward. Manolas however, has no regrets, and says he knows all about the Old Lady’s past.
“I only regret not having won the game. Everything else – Morata’s foul, the referee and the controversy – does not bother me.
“It’s in the past. The day after the game we started to work as we always have done.
“Against Chievo my teammates were great and now we’re thinking about Bayern.
“Have I been told anything about Juve? There was no need. I’ve always followed the Italian League, and I knew exactly what has happened, including in the past.
“Now it’s over and there’s nothing you can do about it. What good is it to still talk about it? We’ll wait for the Olimpico in the return fixture for the rematch which is rightfully ours. I can’t wait.”
On Friday Roma Coach Rudi Garcia declared that his side would go on to lift the Scudetto, as they are stronger than Juve, and Manolas echoed the Frenchman’s sentiments.
“Our goal is to [win the League]. We had that goal in our minds at the start of the season, and now we believe even more.
“We are aware that we have a great team, which isn’t missing anything which is needed to win.”
