Kostas Manolas’ agent has denied reports that the central defender will be joining Roma this week.
The Greek youngster has been heavily linked with a switch to the Giallorossi, and is rumoured to be Mehdi Benatia’s replacement once he goes to Bayern Munich.
But the 23-year-old’s representative has insisted that there have never been talks with Rudi Garcia’s side.
“The rumours of Manolas moving to Italy have been going on for months now,” Giannis Evangelopuolos told TuttoMercatoWeb.
“But the truth is that there has been nothing. We haven’t heard anything from Roma.
“I can say that there has been contact with other big clubs in Europe, but at the moment I won’t rule out that Kostas will stay with Olimpiacos.”
Arsenal are thought to be the other side in the hunt for the defender.
