In reflecting on becoming the fourth different Coach to depart Palermo this year, Devis Mangia admits he has felt better.

The Rosanero confirmed the young Coach’s dismissal this morning, approximately two months on from having originally signed Mangia to a contract until the end of 2012-13.

The 37-year-old, who initially took over at Palermo just two weeks before the start of the season, led the team on a run of six consecutive wins at home. However, he also saw the Sicilians fail to score in all eight of his League matches away from the Renzo Barbera.

Speaking to GolSicilia.it, the now former Rosanero Coach reflected on his performance and took time to thank the fans.

“At this moment in time I can only say that it hurts. I have been better, it's useless to deny that. I thank everyone who has been close to me and those people who supported me.

“I say thank you to the fans, for the support they showed the team. They were important. It's a shame that it ended this way. Never mind.

“Over the next few hours, or in the next few days, I will write a note to let people know my thoughts about this situation. For the moment what has been said is fine. I'll soon give a little bit more information.”
