Greek shot-stopper Alexandros Tzorvas was surprisingly dropped in favour of Francesco Benussi.
“We had a few communication and collaboration problems between the goalkeeper and his defence, particularly when it came to organising them in the box,” explained the Coach.
“We are working with Tzorvas to improve this situation, but in the meantime I chose Benussi between the posts.”
The Rosanero earned a 2-0 victory, maintaining a 100 per cent record on home turf, against Fiorentina.
“We could’ve certainly done better in some counter-attack situations, but it’s good for the people to see goals and attacking football.
“As I have no centre-forwards at the moment, I opted not to give reference points to our opponents.”
It was also a special game, as Fiorentina’s Delio Rossi was given a warm welcome from his old fans.
“We want to dedicate this win to the President, as he really cared about this match, and I thank Delio for the nice things he said about me.”
