Tomorrow a bankruptcy ruling will be made on the holding company of the club, and Manenti’s lawyer says he still wants to take over the Ducali.

“He’s doing ok, but he’s under house arrest,” Antonio Palmieri told a local radio program, Palla in Tribuna.

“His intentions are firm, we’re striving to buy Parma FC.

“His arrest? I can’t speak about it, because there is an ongoing investigation, but if what I’ve read in the papers had happened then he wouldn’t be under house arrest.

“Some events have perhaps resulted in the blame being placed on Manenti, maybe because interventions were not made soon enough.

“You can’t put all the blame for this situation on Manenti.

“Money laundering? I can categorically deny that, if that was the case he wouldn’t be allowed to remain under house arrest.

“The investigation is still ongoing, so we’ll see how it plays out, but from what I’ve seen there’s not much which can be laid at Manenti’s door, because he hasn’t done anything.

“Strategies to buy Parma have not yet been decided, but he doesn’t intend to give up, not least for his staff.”
