According to Sky Sport, Mario Mandzukic is likely to leave Milan at the end of the season.

The Croat joined the Rossoneri as a free agent in January but has barely played 100 minutes since.

Mandzukic picked up a muscular problem in February and has already missed ten games with the Diavoli.

According to Sky Sport, Milan could part ways with the former Bayern Munich and Juventus striker at the end of the season.

The club have an option to extend the player's contract for one more season if they finish in the top four.

However, the option is also linked with the number of appearances of the 34-year-old.

Mandzukic will then leave Milan at the end of the season unless he manages to have an impact in the final games of the campaign.

"When there are injuries that do not permit to assess a player, no one prohibits to renew the contract even if the conditions are not fulfilled," his agent claimed last week.

"Unfortunately, he could not help the team so far because of an injury. I know that from next week he will be back to training in the group."
