Mandzukic to Milan ‘imminent’

According to several reports in Italy, Mario Mandzukic’s move to Milan is imminent as the club and the Croatian striker have reached an agreement.

MilanNews and Calciomercato.com report the former Juventus striker is on the verge of joining the Rossoneri as a free agent.

Mandzukic will reportedly sign an 18-month deal by Tuesday.

The club and the player only need to agree whether the contract will initially last six months with an option for another season or if Mandzukic will immediately sign an 18-month contract.

The 34-year-old left Juventus in December 2019. He scored 44 goals in 162 games in all competitions with the Bianconeri.

He played his last competitive game with Al Duhail in March 2020.
