Mario Mandzukic leaves Milan after six months. ‘I’m grateful to the club for giving me this opportunity’.
The Rossoneri signed the former Croatia international in January, but the centre-forward struggled to make an impact at San Siro and leaves after only six months.
“I’m grateful to the club management for giving me this opportunity,” Mandzukic wrote on social media. “To the technical staff for their dedicated work and my teammates, who are not only great players but a great group of lads.
“I’m happy we were able to bring this fantastic club back to the Champions League. I wish everyone at the club only the best for the future.”
The former Juventus forward struggled with muscular problems during his spell with the Diavolo and only played 10 games in Serie A since his move on a free transfer last winter.
