Mandzukic-Darmian swap?

Juventus could propose Manchester United take Mario Mandzukic in part-exchange for Matteo Darmian, according to Sportitalia.

This would have to wait until after Croatia’s World Cup campaign has finished, but Mandzukic has hinted he could seek a move away.

He is increasingly frustrated at being used in a wide or even defensive role, whereas he’d relish a more central position at Old Trafford.

The 32-year-old is a fan favourite for his work rate and determination since a €21m transfer from Atletico Madrid in 2015.

Mandzukic has won titles in Germany, Spain and Italy, so would love to add England to the list.

Sportitalia claim this could work as part of Juve’s ongoing negotiations for full-back Darmian, who Manchester United refuse to release for under €20m.
