Torino midfielder Rolando Mandragora suffered a rupture of the meniscus during the 1-0 defeat to Napoli and could be forced to undergo surgery.

The midfielder joined Torino from Juventus in February 2021, when he moved on loan with an obligation to buy with conditions.

And the 24-year-old has played all eight Serie A games in 2021-22 but suffered an injury during the defeat to league leaders Napoli on Sunday.

The Granata confirmed he has ruptured the meniscus in his right knee and the medical staff will evaluate if the former Udinese player needs an intervention to fix the issue.

“The clinical and instrumental tests on Rolando Mandragora, who was substituted early in yesterday’s match against Napoli, revealed a lesion of the internal meniscus of the right knee,” the club said in a statement.

“It will be subjected to surgical evaluation in the coming days.”
