Andrea Mandorlini admits Verona have a problem after throwing away a lead for the fourth time this season.
Eros Pisano had opened the scoring in the Derby della Scala with a header from a set play, but Lucas Castro drew Chievo level for the 1-1 result.
“We conceded a goal when all set out defensively. We had been winning, then ended with players struggling with cramp, so it’s a positive result,” the Hellas Coach told Sky Sport Italia.

“We haven’t conceded any goals in the first half this season and 10 after the break, evidently that’s an issue. We can do better, as we’ve been in the lead four times this season and still haven’t won. We need to work on all this.
“At the moment we don’t have reference points in attack, so it’s hard to hold the ball up as well as finish off chances.
“Hopefully after the break for international duty we’ll have some players back from injury. The team played well tonight and expressed itself with intensity.”
Luca Toni and Giampaolo Pazzini are both injured, so Juanito Gomez Taleb had to improvise as a striker.
“At this moment Juanito has to play as a centre-forward. He had a few promising chances, but he’s not a centre-forward and that means chances aren’t finished off.
“Jacopo Sala is playing wide in a trident when he’s used to being in a much deeper role. Unfortunately, we are forced into these adjustments.
“Emil Hallfredsson is a very important player for us and he was out for a month, so he’s not 100 per cent fit yet. Sala actually got injured in the last training session yesterday, but he grit his teeth to carry on.”
